nah, thatchers move away from government subsidised nationalised industry towards the free market was a master stroke, the country was stuck in a socialist quagmire. her rabid pursuit of a free market economy also faced stiff opposition from within her own ranks with she withstood.

We are all reaping the benefits of this now

Unions and general manufacturing economy was always going to end in a sticky mess, may not agree with her methods but something certainly needed to be done.
