First thing you should be doing is flashing it to factory settings. Then turning off Wlan search et all.

for orange users - you CAN now upgrade to version 11 directly from the nokia website without having to do anything risky whatsoever.
just install the cd that came with the phone (nokia updater).
run it and go tot he nokia website, select your phone and follow the instructions.

battery performance will more than double and applications generally will exit bettter.

Nokia Service Suite is really simple to use to change the product code. Just make a note of your original orange one incase you need to send it back for anything.

And yeah, i'll be selling a kidney for the N95 8GB in a month or 2
