Gallant effort at spelling GardaĆ*.
My self employed brother once got a ticket in Longford after he had just ran into a hardware to buy a box of nails. He was doing a job locally. Longford is about an hour and a half away from us. When he came out of the hardware the warden was writing the ticket and he explained to him that he had just gone in for about 30 seconds. The warden wouldn't listen.
So anyway he didn't pay the ticket and was summonsed to court in Longford after a number of months. He explained his case to the judge who asked him had taken the morning off to attend, which he had. The judge then dismissed the case and said that the parking wardens shouldn't be preventing the wheels of the econpmy from turning or something to that effect.
