Default graphic student creating a christopher reeve tribute poster

Hi guys. I'm kinda new but i'm applying to a program that's centered round maya, combustion, and possibly photoshop. right now i'm creatin a chris reeve poster that sorta honours him. My idea is to take an image of him of the web (wax figure pic) and make it look like this huge statue. Probably as big as the statue of liberty. The insignia will have a chris reeve logo embedded on it and the statue will be on a platform. In the poster, crowds of people will be surrouding the statue. The stutue will be in a park and in the back are a bunch of clouds will a masked image of chris's face lookin down on everybody. On the poster it will say he will live in our hearts. below will show the insignia and it'll say " chris reeve" 19.. - 2005. Do u guys think this is an insane idea? i'll post up another thread cuz ideas are just poppin as i'm writin this.

It's a great idea, but would it be too difficult to execute? I know it will be for me. Anyway, good luck with your project! [righton]

Everything sounds great... although I am a little worried about the "face in the clouds" idea. That may be hard to execute well, without getting it to be a little cheesy.

The statue idea is pretty cool, though - just make sure to get a shot of it from ground level looking up to get the "impressive" feeling right.

Hi jon. Fancy seeing you here...
as if... hahaha...

I would employ your "worm's eye view" of the statue to make it look tall and impressive. That's actually a good idea but it'll be difficult to do because (i'm assuming you are modelling the statue) you have to keep the details of his face visible while it's faaaaaaaaar away above.

Just my 2 cents. I'd like to see some concept art from you

It shouldn't be too bad as long as he can get far enough away from the statue/sculpture. You would still get the perspective, but see the statue just fine.
