and Nick, by the sounds of it, I completely agree - they are morons.
Scholes and Giggs would be a disaster. Anderson slightly less so as he's a bit more active and energetic.

I'd actually go with Scholes plus Giggs/Anderson in the middle. You'd hope that Vidic and Rio will be able to do enough against a Heskeyless Wigan. Yes, it's a risk, but it's worthwhile under the circumstances (ie we don't have a natural quality holding midfielder available).
If you do need to go with an O'Shea or Pique as DM possibly chuck out Nani and go 433 with Ronaldo right up on the right.
Kookookachoo
Simpson/Pique
Vidic
Evra
Giggs
Scholes
O'Shea
Ronnie
Saha
Rooney

and I realise Pique has some playing experience in CM... but I just feel O'Shea has more... and yeah he can be a passenger but I guess I'm thinking the Premiership experience is important.
I dont know, maybe I'm not being fair on Pique and he should definitely be ahead of JOS. like I said, wouldnt be unhappy either way.
| Nope i didnt misread but added Giggs since you said play Sheasy because of his experience and that seems to be a Fergie thought on Giggs.
I'd always play a good young player with little experience over a crap player with bags of experience.
tbh i think its time O'Shea was moved on. I dont really see where he fits in anymore.
RB: Neville, Brown, Simpson, Pique
CB: Rio, Vida, Brown, Pique, Evans
LB: Evra, Evans, other kids
CM: Scholes, Hargreaves, Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson
Yeah we look short at left back but i'd rather the young kids like Evans got a chance there to bring them in to the first team than play O'Shea there.

I also dont think Simpson is good enough to be starting at right back for us right now. People seem to have him on par with Evans in the talent stakes but he isnt at that level.

maybe I'm just forgetting how bad O'Shea is in midfield... he's too lovable to hate thats the problem.
dont think we should sell him either, possibly for similar reasons |

not keen on that formation - those players in a 442 would be fine, 433 will just mean Giggs slowing everything down and playing as an extra Wigan defensive midfielder, and Saha being isolated up top.
442: TK; Wes/JOS, Vidic, Rio, Evra; Ronaldo, Pique, Scholes, Nani; Tevez, Rooney. i'd fancy that front two to cause Bramble/Boyce more problems than Saha on current form. although seeing as Saha has been called up for France, maybe we should make use of him while we still can...

look lets just agree that it's a blessing that at times like this, with selection problems in midfield, there is no way Fergie can resort to Richardson anymore \o/\o/\o/
