Don't tell me. you need a degree. Even if it's in media studies. </BLOCKQUOTE>
"1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, biological science, physical science, or mathematics. Quality of academic preparation is important. Degree must be followed by at least 3 years of related, progressively responsible, professional experience. An advanced degree is desirable and may be substituted for experience as follows: master’s degree = 1 year of experience, doctoral degree = 3 years of experience. Teaching experience, including experience at the K - 12 levels, is considered to be qualifying experience for the Astronaut Candidate position; therefore, educators are encouraged to apply. "

Dont ask much do they </BLOCKQUOTE>
Yeah basically NASA has a new group trained every other year. Brickies need not apply. </BLOCKQUOTE>
soooo... no place for my crayons then?

The mere idea of being locked up in a box with processed air and **** all to do for seventeen months scares me. More interestingly, what do you reckon will be the Mars equivalent of 'One small step for (a) man, one giant step for mankind'?

Nope, seen quite a few different documentaries tho. From Earth to the Moon (mini series with Tom Hanks directing) and a 45 min documentary on the Mars Rovers
