I'm a better poster than most other people on OTF.
I can't self-critique when there's nothing to criticise, can I?

I'm not even that arse about my posting style. I've noticed alot of people here are, to the point where if you get one spelling wrong or don't use the right grammar they will go to the trouble of correcting you and even making a little mentle note to group you to the 'unpopular' class.

It's nice that you've made an intentionally dire post to prove your point, Fred :thup:

An interesting one here - what is your posting style on OTF. Does it;
* Vary on the subject matter
* Do you always checking for spelling/grammatical errors
* Do you post off the cuff or research your subject
* Are you afraid to speak your mind because of how you will be viewed by other posters
-----------------
My spelling and grammar [b]isn't[/b/ fantastic. I Don't tend to do it on purpose, but I'm not really one of these posters who reads what he's said before posting. That again can lead to making off the cuff remarks which can come back to bite you on the arse. I tend to post stuff that I find interesting, sometimes subjects that I know little about. OTF is a great resource of information and views - so many people from so many different backgrounds. :thup: Finally, I don't consider myself afraid of speaking my mind inorder to not upset others.

A few things I can say about my own posting style:
- I don't tend to post new topics. Dunno why, just never think of it.
- I'm terribly anal about correct spelling and grammar. Even my texts have to be grammatically correct before I send them.
- I don't tend to do research before posting. But then I don't post about anything that I'm not pretty sure about anyway.
- Certainly not afraid to speak my mind. After all, I know precisely none of you and in all probability it will stay that way too.

My posts are generally of the character of a semi-literate speed freak who just found his lost pot stash.
Ah, there it is!
I like good spelling, along with grammar of course, but like all other peeps armed with less than satisfactory knowledge of the English language I mostly get it wrong (Ignorance is bliss, eh?). I never speak my mind, rather my postings generally contain a concoction of Devil's advocacy, mischief and a similar collection of alphabetical characters to everybody else.
Peace. |
