Curently applying for trainee actuary positions. Start on about 24k (cant find bloody pound sign on this computer), raises to min 50k after qualifying which takes about 3-5 years. So yeah, I hope so |

it depends if they are on a price, or a daily/hourly rate.
take into consideration that monday to friday, most builders will work 8-5 with an hours break unpaid which will be 40 hours a week.
fully qualified brickies should expect at least a tenner an hour even in scotland.
so you should expect at least 400 p/w.
one thing to bear in mind is that most foremen/site managers (in my experience) are chippies and tend to pay them better. that coupled with the influx of foreign workers can force the rates down in a lot of areas.
however - get yourself on a price, and providing you can do a good job quickly, you are laughing
