What's the death of one of the candidates got to do with low turnout due to bad weather?
Traditionally, bad weather has always been considered as bad for the Labour vote, not that of the incumbent MP regardless of party. That was in the days when there was a lot less car ownership in the tradtional Labour vote, and before the last two dreadful General Election turnout figures, so bad weather would more than likely result in a lower turnout for all parties rather than one in particular.
