I'd love Glyn's prediction to be true...simply to marvel at what would happen at the Tory party conference.
Finding Maddie is about the only way Cameron could win an election at the moment. Brown should go to the polls now...Tories really don't having anything approaching a coherent set of policies...a snap election will prevent the kind of debate that might swing Worcester woman and her election winning ilk...they've not (and wont by election day) have seen enough of DC to trust him.
From their perspective I think they'll feel that Brown has done OK. Dealt with a couple of (albeit relatively minor) crises and more importantly hasn't taken the opportunity to take off his mask and reveal an uber-socialist slapping the middle classes round in the way some would have feared.

November is a tough time to have a poll, i mean it's cold outside at the minute, what's it going to be like in November? It wold be very hard to get "floating" voters out to vote.

Gordon Brown yesterday set the stage to announce a November 1 general election on Tuesday next week as a poisonous row erupted between the two parties over the prime minister's decision to fly to Iraq in the middle of the Tory conference.
In a surprise intervention that had not been cleared with David Cameron, the former prime minister Sir John Major accused Mr Brown of breaking his promise to end "a decade of spin and deceit" by travelling to Baghdad to announce the withdrawal of 1,000 British troops by Christmas, breaking his commitment to tell parliament next week.
| It begins...

| Also could cause some shock results as
If the weathers bad in a seat where a particular party is expected to do well, then the supporters of that party are far less likely to come out and vote

It's ALL about Peter Snow, although the 'swingometer' is something of a misnomer imo...
