So you'd take away a few dots that help blind people and do you no harm at all on the basis that they know what the button does anyway.
Have you also noticed how mobile phones, remote controls and keyboards have a little nodule on the 5 button.
Same reason.
They're pretty much inconvenienced already being blind, a little help wouldn't go amiss.
