The LOST SERIES 3 thread for us ENGLISH people that are watching it on SKY ONE, *NO SPOILERS UPTO AND INCLUDING CURRENT EPISODES*
First 2 episodes to be aired on Sky 1 on November 19th, at 10 pm.
Quote:
SKY ONE bosses have confirmed the transmission date of Lost – it will air on Sunday November 19 at 10pm.
The series opens with a two-part special where we see Jack (Matthew Fox), Sawyer (Josh Holloway) and Kate (Evangeline Lily) imprisoned by The Others. But what do they want from them?
One other question that fans want settled is: which way is Kate leaning in her love triangle with bad boy Sawyer and hunky doctor Jack?
The show will also be shown in Sky HD and red button users can see the show on multistart at eight different 15 minute intervals.
Ok, the end of season 2 left us with more questions, (unless they were all answered by Dave C, cba to go back and have a look) few answers, and a new channel.
I'll provide a quick summary of what happened at the end of Season 2, then we can see how many people have stayed from the E4/Ch4 thread, and if anyone new decides to join.
The only problem with Sky nabbing the rights for the next 2 series is the lack of info i can find out there, the CH4 Lost site was pretty damn good, whereas the Sky site is turd.

Season 2: Episode 23/ Live Together, Die Alone Part 1
As Jack, Sayid and Sawyer swim out to meet the sailboat bobbing just offshore, we almost feel relieved to discover that this is definitely NOT the way off the island. After coming this far, you knew it wasn't going to be that easy now, didn't you?
But in addition to returning Desmond to the island, that boat just may have just brought Sayid the advantage he needs to put his own plan into action. And as he and Jack form a very important secret, Michael leads his "team" into the jungle, towards a now very uncertain fate.
Speaking of Desmond, in FLASHBACKS we finally learn the answers to how he ended up in this spot in the first place. And they are more shocking and tragic than we could have ever imagined. Beginning with his exit from a British military stockade and dishonorable discharge from his regiment, and winding all the way to the day he first pressed the button himself, we see a much different Desmond. And the man we assumed held all the answers turns out to be as LOST as anyone else on this island.
But he still knows a trick or two, and as Jack follows a man he knows to be a traitor deeper and deeper into the unknown, it is Locke who forges an alliance with Desmond in the hopes of answering his own questions (and ours) once and for all. What's he willing to risk in order to find out? Just the future survival of the entire world, is all.
In the jungle, Jack is forced to expose Michael for what he is, and after a few horrible moments, even Michael is unable to continue his charade. As he breaks down and admits what he has done, Hurley realizes that he's looking at the man who killed the woman he loved -- perhaps the only one who would ever love him. And as he realizes that he is being led into a trap Hurley turns to leave -- preferring to go back and mourn rather than try to exact some futile attempt at revenge. But Jack has one more bomb to drop which stops Hurley in his tracks. Turns out Michael isn't the only one who can keep a secret...

Live Together, Die Alone (2)
As Sayid and his "crew" sail the ship around the point of the island, passing ever more mysterious landmarks on their way, we are left to worry about who is outsmarting whom? How many double crosses can there possibly be before you end on with the short side of the stick again? We don't have to wait long to find out the answer. And, as usual, the answers hold no comfort. And we all learn a lesson about the depths of treachery. About the lengths to which someone will go to do what they think is right.
See you next year...
Hahaha, ripped from the Ch4 Lost site, ul Ch4, won't be seeing you next year
Well, i've still got the last 2 eps on my sky+ box so i might give them a quick view again and try to raise a few pertinent questions.
Obviously one key question is have the snow guys found their location and exactly what is (Desmonds?) bird looking for?

The LOST SERIES 3 thread for us ENGLISH people that are watching it on SKY ONE, *NO SPOILERS UPTO AND INCLUDING CURRENT EPISODES* Post #2
I think the idea is that with the Amercian mid-season break, it starting this week means we will effectively catch-up with the yanks (well a couple of days behind) which is awesome as it rarely ever happens that we are up to date with big American shows, may also lead to more correspondence between this thread and the american thread which will be a good thing. I trust Sky generally with these things, and they have a tendency to repeat episodes/do mini-marathons which is very good for someone like me who has a very unreliable Sky+ box.
They have had issues with spoilers in their adverts in the past, and in fact seem to have already started in this respect but tbh i'm used to quickly muting/changing channel thanks to their constant 24 ads so it doesn't overly bother me.
So yeah anyway, looking forward to this

Like fook anyone gives a sh!t about that. Just kill her off ffs.
Sky are really p!ssing me off. I'll have seen half the series by Sunday at this rate. Why is it that whenever they get a new series they're so immensly proud of it so shove it down our throats at every opportunity?
There'a another one which is annoying where the guy is negotiating and yells out 'you think you've got problems, I'm sleeping with my partner'. Seen the ad so many times it's put me right off.
