Pretty much as the thread title suggests.

Its for the Royal Bank of Scotland,I think its just a general interview to see if they have any vacancies to meet my qualifictions. I've never had a telephone interview before, so.. what can I expect to be asked?? anybody on OTF had one before and want to share their experience?

needless to say, make sure you've got a pen and paper handy, and that you're in a quiet place

I had a telephone interview once, it was for game's testing though so all shop talk was about game's etc so really has no relevance.

just like a normal interview but, heres the clever but, on the phone.

my advice is make sure you dont pause too long, but at the same time dont just say the first old crap that comes into your head.

I think you should take advantage of the situation and crack one off, when are you going to get the opportunity to do that during an interview again?

I generally find telephone interviews to be harder, as my usual technique involves picturing the interviewer naked /o\
