Luton's main stand hasn't allowed smoking for as long as I can remember due to the stand being made of wood so not much change around where I am, haven't heard of the club having any problems with people smoking
that said probably a good thing, our stewards are awful when it comes to sorting anything slightly problamatic out

old trafford was a somke free stadium before the ban even came in(at least in theory). i was working there a year ago and officially no-one was allowed smoke inside the stadium.
i dont know whether they actually did on the stands or not.

I can understand no smoking on the terraces, but the bit at the side which is 100% open to the air is the most policed part at tranmere. Its daft really, whilst theres about 10 stewards say no don't smoke outside whilst there's about 10 people smoking in the bogs. Gone too far imho, Why people can't smoke outside away from anybody who doesn't want to smoke is beyond me, therefore its stops people smoking in the bogs= result ? no ?

feel sorry for the stewards being forced to spend their half time stood in the toilets on the look out.

Used to be loads smoking in the toilets but it’s died down now.
Probably more of a problem at away grounds I would imagine.

There was almost a fight a few weeks ago at Loftus rd with the stewards asking/ telling a group not to smoke at half time.
They were standing in one of the staircases which are actually outside the main building and very ventilated....

People just smoke on the spirall stairways at our place, they check around the top but you're pretty safe if you walk down to the middle
Pretty pathetic like some have said that they can't last a few hours, I took a mate to the Newcastle game last week and he missed 2 goals because he went to have a fag, i'm pretty glad he did

I would imagine that football matches are a bit more stressful than going to the cinema.
