Courier Flights ? Used to do them when i lived in Hong Kong going to Thailand for a holiday </BLOCKQUOTE>

No. There are a couple of travel agents just by the Macau-HK ferry terminal that do some cracking deals. I got a return to Sydney during Chinese New Year for £200 a couple of years back, which was one hell of a deal. All legit and everything.

Sihanoukville...

It was nice a Don't know what its like now, but around the time, there was a lot of construction on going as the tourism was beginning to ramp up.

If you're going to cambodia, you may as well visit Siam Reap and see Angkor Wat.

The road from Phnom Penh to Sihnoukville is actually very good. I got the coach. However the TV entertainment on the coach is terrible... think UK 60's slapstick except in a language you odn't understand.

It's not a bad place. There has been a major oil find there fairly recently so i expect the development to ramp up even more in the next 2 or 3 years !

I've already been to Cambodia for Siam Reap and Angkor Wat, this time around I just wanted a beach, a bar and $25 bag to work my way through.

The development has really only begun to kick off down the coast and my mate's place is on an island away from the main sprawl (think S Goa vs N Goa).
He's hoping to get in before all the major developers and snaffle a prime stretch of beach (c3 miles iirc).

Anyway have decided to can the idea until next year as just couldn't find the a decent ticket price.

Looks like another 2 weeks in Bridlington instead for me.

Done that already.

Awesome road, pot holes you could lose a mini in.

Air Asia flies from Bangkok to Phnom for a whopping $21, so I may well take that option.
If and when I get to Bangkok!!! </BLOCKQUOTE>

I take it you mean the crossing at Poipet ? It's crap up there. If you are going to Sihanouk then cross just North of Trat. Up to Khlong Yai, over border into Koh Kong and then big boat to Sihanouk.

I'd take a cheaper flight to Bangkok and then cheap flight to PP if you're in a hurry, waaay more carriers to Bkk so much more likely to get a decent price </BLOCKQUOTE>

I crossed into Cambodia at Poipet which was the nightmare journey on to Siam Reap, on the way back crossed back into Thailand at Cham Yeam which was a little bit better, on the way from Sihanoukville still involved crossing the river a few times on what amounted to no more than a raft.

Strangest car ferry ever.

It's a one off (and there's a Jockland equivalent) concert to raise a bit of cash imo.

It's going to be awesome!
