It seems that having spoken to Trailfinders, Flight Centre and one of those other ones linked into that for under £400 I can get about 3/4 of the way there...
So either I'm parachuting out over the Indian Ocean or I'm not going at all.
I'd better start checking for next year. |

Try what Flying Eagle can offer you to Bangkok and then use the cheap commuter airline from there.

| They're not an airline, just an agent.

Oasis Air to HK might be a good start. I could then put you in touch with a couple of flight agents - they got me to Singapore for £99 return.
Having said that, a similar set-up in, say Bangkok, would be able to do you the same I am sure. Plus BKK, Singapore and KL tend to have more low-cost airlines going through them than HK.

| I know. But why not call them and see if they can offer a similar price in November as they had for October?

| Cheers although I don't really fancy spending a huge amount of time travelling.
One night stopover in Bangkok is OK as I can catch an early flight to Cambodia the next day. As soon as we start adding extra local flights then suddenly I am looking at the wrong end of 4 or 5 days travelling for a 2 week holiday!!

Awesome road, pot holes you could lose a mini in.
Air Asia flies from Bangkok to Phnom for a whopping $21, so I may well take that option.
If and when I get to Bangkok!!! </BLOCKQUOTE>
I take it you mean the crossing at Poipet ? It's crap up there. If you are going to Sihanouk then cross just North of Trat. Up to Khlong Yai, over border into Koh Kong and then big boat to Sihanouk.
I'd take a cheaper flight to Bangkok and then cheap flight to PP if you're in a hurry, waaay more carriers to Bkk so much more likely to get a decent price

| Getting to PP and then onwards isn't the issue.
c1000Bt for a return flight from Bangkok then a $30 taxi to Sihanouk.
The London to Bangkok bit is the one causing trouble.
Do any of the carriers do last minute empty seat deals?
