Gun fight at the Moss Side Corral

Police said the fight broke out just before 8pm last night on Hollywood Street in Moss Side.

Officers found 10 bullet casings, gunshot damage to a car and one bullet lodged in a fence, after the exchange of fire between the rival groups.

Police also received a report of damage to another car in a nearby street.

No injuries have been reported.

Police believe the two incidents are linked and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

South Manchester's notorious Moss Side district has suffered widespread gun violence for decades.

The latest high-profile victim of the area's gun gangs was Jessie James - the 15-year-old boy shot dead as he cycled through a park in September 2006.

No one has yet been charged with his murder.

I blame videogames and the CBI, of course.

Pah that's nothing, we've had 20 deaths this year already in London thanks to the knife and gun culture.

You Northerners really must appreciate that if you're going to pull your blade or piece then it can't go back without some damage done.
