A really boring question about electricity

My gf moved into a flat with a PAYG electricity meter and says it's great. I works out at a reasonable price and you don't get stung with a big bill every three months.

i've got a PAYG meter aswell. Its quite useful and theres no shock when a bill arrives

Speaking as a landlord, if you were renting from me the answer would be no chance. Long term it is a guarenteed loser for a landlord. Even if you found a tennant you could 100% rely upon you'd have to change the meter again once they moved out. There is nothing for a landlord to gain by letting you change, it carries an element of risk, and it does carry a future penalty.
