I always beat myself up over mistakes I make, no matter how big or small. I can lie in bed and suddenly remember some little stupid comment I made several years ago, and start to "criticize" myself for it. Happens all the time.

Most mistakes can be rectified by not letting them get you down, take it on the chin and learn from it and you'll be fine.

Everyone does things they regret, its how yo respond to it that matters. :thup:

Also whs, something may of happened five years previous, but it might just randomly pop into my head and still it gets me down.

Oh ive had my moments in the spotlight where i didnt fall apart, but im not one to live on past glories.

Did i mention i scored a great long long three?
3 seconds left get the ball, fake get the defender airbourne step left sweet motion, nothing but net...but that was in the first quarter, not when it mattered

I was in a similar situation to your basketball one, when I was 16 playing at school. Was the playoffs and we were down 3 with 7 seconds left. Scored a quick layup. We fouled then stole the inbounds. I drove in, got fouled with 2.1 left to go to the line. We were playing away and their point came up to me and said "feeling the pressure?" Then all the stadium starting booing and yelling at me. So I raised my arms up as if to tell them to boo louder. Then calmly sunk the first Wound them up even more for the second and made that, to give us the win

My coach who was American started hugging me, then the whole girls' team who were at the game jumped on me. Also had a girl from the other school give me a kiss on the cheek. Her fellow students weren't too pleased with her apparently, especially since her boyfriend was on their team but didn't play that day.

Anyway, I rule.

Oh I do this a lot. Espically if I think I've missed out on an oppurtunity which I should have gone for , I beat myself up about it.

I do this....a lot.

I play a lot of football and after the games all I can remember is what I did wrong. Maybe need to see a shrink.
