As a foreigner - I never understood the love towards the chants... Aren't they nearly always pretty primitive?

actually the pure noise of crowd celebration at a goal > chants
best moment by far.... which is why playing music when the team scores a goal ifffffffffffs

I think chants during football matches are excellent. Bit of banter never goes amiss between opposite sides' fans.
