No doubt he is a very good coach, but to go straight in at a club like Norwich as your first management job, where expectations are very high, was always a tough ask.
I think he will be a successful manager somewhere, and am disappointed it didn't work out for him. He has had horrendous luck with injuries, not to mention having to contend with losing three of his best players (Safri, Earnshaw, Etuhu for £5.25m) and replacing them with cheapies in comparison (Cureton, Brellier, Russell for £1.2m?)
At least he left with more dignity than Worthington, and deserves respect for putting the club first. I'll always remember the 3-2 win over Luton away, Simon Lappin with a last minute free kick. Went absolutely mental.
