We've got Braga and Aris at home, we should win those.
Will make up for the trouncing we'll get in Munich and Belgrade

Aberdeen got a bit of a raw deal there.

Well, I can't imagine Moscow, Copenhagen and Panathinaikos to be that much better than Dnipro (if at all...). If we can take advantage of the home ties, possibly sneak a draw in Greece, who knows what can happen.
Still, it's good to be taking part again. Back where we belong.

| thats pretty sh*t. So if a tiny club was drawn say Munich or Ajak(if they had made it through) they would get no financial benefit. So not only would they probably get thumped but they wouldnt earn from it. Should be like the FA Cup where they get a cut of the gates.

Dont know about "what it's become" it was the same the last couple of seasons at least.
It does seem a little pointless, top 3 of 5 and all that. I thought they keep talking about removing the group stage but not sure if anything ever happened with that. Guess they knocked it on the head.

| Is that confirmed then ? You're playing Aris and Braga home ? I think should make it through in top 3 tbh. Gonna lose to Munich home or away so may as well make it an away game.

Aberdeen's draw looks fecking impossible.
Adding groups to this was an awful idea really.
Knock-out format was much better.

Yeah, confirmed on our official site. We play Braga at home first, then Bayern away, then Aris at home before ending in Belgrade.

This, Champions League. Group Stages clearly there for sides to grab some cash and all feel special and warm about UEFA competitions.
I was well chuffed they got rid of that awful 2nd group stage in the CL before. Hopefully they can do something about this as there arent often that many surprises really in finding a top 3
