Default Computer prob - XP setup stuck after reboot, help needed...
Can anyone help with this prob please?...

I'm reloading XP Home on my laptop. It's on a formatted disk in NTFS (with 3 partitions). Setup completes file installation etc. but on reboot freezes when looking for hardware. Anyone any ideas how to resolve this please or had experience of this?

Odd thing is, after 3 reloads, the progress bar seems to stick in the same place. The disk that came with the laptop is an XP OEM version (I think).

Does it give an indication of what piece of hardware it's looking for when it freezes?
