yeah, i heard of that, but i have never posted there.
biggest things they need to get right in fallout 3:
- good dialogue options for PCs, good dialogue responses from NPCs. cannot stress this enough. even most games that think they're good at this end up being "listen to the witty NPC", then click "yes" or "no". i want to be able to give cool putdowns if i'm talking to a complete tithead, or offer to suck someone off if my character fancies them. etc.
- the karma system needs to be pretty much identical to fallout 2. everything you do should have a repercussion and there should be good, bad and indifferent outcomes to every quest and subgame, with no penalties in terms of xp, goodies or cash for being bad or indifferent.
- should be able to have a completely different set of characters that can finish the game. this is something that wasn't really addressed properly in fallout 2
imo, because diplosnipers were so far ahead of everything else. i want to be able to play something like a sneaking meleer with no personality but insane gambling and science skills, basically a typical autistic savant, and actually be able to finish the game somehow.
- there should be a list of outcomes for each character / locale even more wideranging than the ones in fallout 2.
