Well, I thought I'd post this thread for a couple of reasons.
First is to provoke a debate about what is or isn't art. Personally I quite like this sort of thing. I think what this chap has done is more interesting than a lot of other art that would be considered more respectful by the general public, i.e. paintings of things. One of my pet hates is people that moan about modern art, say that a child could do it, and say that it'd be much better if everyone just painted pictures of bowls and fruit of landscapes. While I can appreciate the talent required to accurately produce still lifes and things, they're essentially not that interesting.
Second purpose of the thread is so that people can make puns about hearing organs.
This guy must be under a lot of pressure, he really needs to eardrum up some support.

some "art" IS basically something a child could do.. the only difference is that adults are able to attach "meaning" to it, which in certain cases suddenly makes it art. so yeah I reckon bowls of fruit are better
