well ive been working there for about a month and a half. last thursday and friday i had the flu so i was bed ridden. i did go in on the wednesday and they let me go home as they saw how ill i was.

i had laser eye surgery today (yay!) and told them yesterday i wouldnt be in today or tomorrow. spent the rest of today in bed and then when i was feeling a little better, decided to come online to find i had been sacked.

bastards. hated that job anyways.

Tbf you should have given them more than a day's notice about taking time off for the eye surgery

If you can back up your sick leave with Doctors note, they sent you home despite coming in etc then they cant just sack you for it.

i dont have a doctors note as i didnt take three days off in a row. im pretty disappointed that they didnt have the balls to wait til i come in again to tell me face to face.

also i genuinely was ill. i dont think i have any rights or anything.
