Which British city has contributed the least to the history / culture of our great nation?
Between them Liverpool and Manchester gave us great music and football, where pivotal in the industrial revolution and made the shell suit a cultural icon. Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol and even Birmingham have played important parts. Norwich gave us English mustard. Coventry is responsible for Stock Aitkin and Waterman.
I guess my initial answer would be Portsmouth. Beyond TCWTB and a few warships what’s it been good for?
I’d also suggest there are good reasons why Newcastle is so far away from anywhere important
