I have a new computer but i had the same problem with the last compuyer as well. Basically the internet is working fine at one point, then it will suddenly stop working and i cant access it. I then have to shut down the pc and start up again, the internet will then work. Ive had this problem with my router and hub. Does anyone know what it could be? I was thinking the phone line, but i cant see how it would start working again after i power off the pc and then start it back up again.

I have had this happen to me too during the last few weeks - only now and again but its annoying.

Running Windows Vista and using AOL as my IP - are you using either of these ??

I had this problem with Talk Talk, not using them are you?

Nope not using talk talk or Aol, my isp is BT. I am also running Windows XP.

What specs are your pc?

I used to get this with my old pc but mostly when playing FM and my PC was struggling
