my girlfriend has the Samsung x850 or something, it looks quite nifty, I dont really care for phones.
I dont really want a contract because I had one before and I no way used it enough to warrant the £25 a month I was paying for it, I just need it to be contactable and the od 15 second "where are you, im waiting outside the pub" conversation rather than any real need for one. I have beef with o2 also so I want to avoid giving them any of my money if I can

£90 including £10 calling credit, on Virgin. Another £25 or so will get you a 4GB memory card, should solve any storage problems you might have, although it comes with a 512MB card as standard. Decent camera, brilliant walkman mp3 player, had mines for about six months with zero complaints. Only thing missing from the phone is A2DP enabled bluetooth.

Yeah, with a 4GB card in it it really has been the mutts nuts for me. Interface is easy, texting quick and simple, with buttons that seem just right. Replaced my MP3 player for when I'm out and about, or when I'm out running, only need my big 40GB player for long journeys now. Camera is only 2MP, but with the autofocus and raft of other features actually takes a decent enough shot, especially since if I really want to shoot good quality pictures I have my SLR. Accessories are easy enough to come by, and cheap for the most part. Seems to get fantastic reviews across the board too, with no major faults reported by heavy users.
