An M.A in History at Bristol University - is it worth it?
Hey guys.
I seem to remember someone posting a similar thread recently, but that was about America wasn't it?
Anyway I'm now in the second year of three reading History at Bristol - and am considering whether I should do an M.A - basically not sure which career I want to go into at this stage but probably something involving politics/administration/PR/journalism - so basically, how much would an M.A help me in view of these very general careers?
Thanks in advance.
Oh one more thing - how easy is it to get funding for these types of things - very much dependent on your grades or?

I spoke to my personal tutor and he said the University would probably contribute if I got a first in both my second and third years - so mon the hard work /o\

ah ok, you just scared me for a second. i don't really have a clue about post-graduate study funding or anything, or even exactly how it works. hopefully the level of funding is dependent on grades because i am amazing in that respect. i'm basically hoping to stay in education long enough to be the most overqualified teacher ever. low ambitions \o/

yeah sorry, i didn't mean to imply teaching was rubbish, i just could do much better in terms of potential. i genuinely can't think of another job i would be vaguely satisfied with, which is why i want to be one.
