Most of the people on my bebo/myspace/facebook seem to have their photos "owned"

ie) James has ownage

What does this mean, it seems like a load of old tripe to me?!

Basically it's a nerd saying that means he's class/great/better than someone etc.

it's a gamers term for being superior to or beating one's opponent. Sometimes mutated to 'pwnage' by uber-geeks.

Good thread question! It's one of the words that make you cringe with when you hear/read it. Didn't know what it meant myself until now but had a rough idea.

The other one that gets me is when people do this '>>>>>>'

i.e

PES>>>>>>>>>>>&gt ;>>>>>>>>>>>>& gt;>>>>>>>>>>>&gt ;>FIFA
