Too hard to compare since one's a round and round movement while the other is an up and down thing.
Perhaps swings on a carousel is the best in-between option.

A mate of mine was a trainee footballer and really good until he got mangled in a roundabout and broke both his legs in loads of places.
Think he’s a window cleaner now.

There seems to be some misapprehension here in regards to the situation.
The Tories were not clamouring for an election and the press responding on the back of it.
Instead it was the press reacting to noises coming from the Labour party.
Ed Balls is quoted on record saying that there would be an announcement "soon".
This is a statement coming from GB's inner sanctum.

The press were taking everything the party did and interpreting it as them calling an election.
Brown hires media staff = having an election soon
Brown flies to Iraq = having an election soon
etc.

I think they were certainly getting ready for it to be called though?

yep Neil and part of the reason for that is, the moment Brown took over, the 'potential' for an early election was apparent to most people. and the media.
Docker just wrong
