in a couple of years time the issue of an election that didn't happen will definitely be THE major issue, and the fact that the press are already forgetting about it doesn't matter, because they'll remember about it, because docker says so

Never once denied it, I just don’t see that he’s caused as much damage to himself or his party as you’re trying to make out. </BLOCKQUOTE>

And you're ok with that?

And your reasons behind this statement (political reasoning rather than personal opinion please)?

(fwiw, I'm not a big fan of DC either, but he's got the job and so we must do the best we can). </BLOCKQUOTE>

Because he's a bigger bandwagon jumper and political opportunist than Blair ever was?

He's been a mass of contradictions ever since he has emerged in the public eye. One week he'll be going in one direction, the next week a completely different one.

What does he even stand for other than to try and get rid of the labour government?

Ok with what? The party thinking they’ll hold an election when they’re likely to do well then changing their minds when it turns out they might do badly?

Yeah, I’m ok with that.

Yeah, walks into the job and instantly faces a real terror threat, floods on a national scale and to cap it all off the Northern Rock issues. All this while he attempts to clear the sh!t up teflon Tony left behind in Iraq.

Brown deserves a chance to show the country what he can do tbh, and he has nearly 2 years to do it in. I actually think he comes across as a decent bloke and if we were choosing between him and Cameron to take charge of the country it would be Gordon Brown all the way.

That's what I asked you.
What political points has he made that have so infuriated you and led you to believe this?

That's not what I meant.
Are you OK with the Leader of the country trying to pull the wool over the electorate's eyes and being caught out doing it so badly.

Shows a lack of political acumen (which IMO he doesn't have, you don't run the Chancellery for 10 years without it) for allowing this situation to even occur, let alone the way he handled it.
