Love Magazine, The Fall and Wire. XTC irritate me, aside from Making Plans For Nigel. Devo and GoF have a few good tracks. Pere Ubu pretty quirky. I could probably enjoy Cocteau Twins if I listened to them enough.

I'm not sure about all of what McD said, but Gang of Four is a great example of a band from the same time period that was far more creative than Joy Division. Gang of Four really doesn't get the credit that they deserve -- they should be considered at the same level as the Sex Pistols and the Clash.

joy division were brilliant. i put up a post on this board to tell everyone that there was a free DVD of the talking heads movie with the observer last sunday and noone replied to that thread, hence JD > talking heads.
both rock though. a: we are devo.

Saw The Cure in Australia a few months ago.
Pretty fb, three hours of just them, no support band.
