Default OEM Software

Whats the main differences between this and the full product? Looking at the system below with Vista untimate but it is OEM software.

Processor: Intel Quad Core 6600
Memory: 2 GB DDR2
Hard drive: 500GB Serial ATA HDD
Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate
Optical Storage: 18x DVDRW & 16x DVDROM
Monitor: 22" TFT Monitor
1.44MB Floppy drive
Keyboard & Mouse: Logitech Cordless Keyboard & Optical Mouse
Speakers: Subwoofer Speaker System
Network Adapter: 10/100/1000 Lan
Warranty: 12 months RTB warranty(first 30days Collect & Ret)

That system is only £1000 inc delivery from www.chrystech.co.uk

So is it worth getting ultimate as an OEM or should I get the retail version? The OEM version is only £120 btw

Limited support/transferability from what I remember. I've got a Vista OEM (since it came out) and i've had absolutely no problem with it so it gets a .

OEM is a system builder edition of software so no support from the manufacturer (in this case Microsoft)

The license also cannot be transfered so it die with the machine its installed on basically.

You can transfer it, but not as many times.
You don't get support which is true. But really, who here has ever phoned up MS when their computer crashes?

As has already been said, I had an OEM version of XP and I've never had any trouble with it at all. Everything the same except that you probably won't get a manual/user guide with it and of course the limited transferability.

As it happens there are many systems that are very similar specs to this (from 99%+ positive feedback sellers) on eBay at the moment for about half of the cost you are looking at with similar warranties if you are shopping around and don't mind buying it from somewhere other than a well known retailer.

Think I will go for the OEM version then, but cant see anywhere on Ebay that has a similar spec, with 22" monitor that is a significant amount cheaper. If you could post a link I would take a look
