I'm going through a retro phase at the moment, really not enjoying most of the next gen stuff thats produced
I feel the same about the next gen stuff, just nothing new coming out next year for the 360 in particular after the first quarter that interests me.

Just going to get the usual fps like we always do.

I used to like FPS when it was just point and shoot, but all the next gen ones i've played, GoW, Ghost Recon, CoD etc etc all just seem too complicated for me and theres no enjoyment, obviously people who love FPS will love them this way

Same with racing games, I used to love X makes you go and [] makes you slow down, now the controls just take any fun out of it for me

Thats why I only really play on the Wii or the DS, Nintendo games for me are still all about having fun

The same people that made MSR make Project Gotham Racing on XBOX. What an amazing game PGR was. Couldn't believe how realistic the graphics were. :o

For people still clinging on to the hope Shenmue will be back.

From Yu Suzuki, creator of Shenmue:

"Kikizo Games: In the event Shenmue was never finished, would the possibility exist for the story to be finished trough other media, like DVD or books?

Yu Suzuki: No, the story will be finished through games. The MMO will be a game that will have a long lifespan through upgrades and updates. This will allow gradual continuation to the story. It follows up directly to the story of Shenmue 2 at first, but maybe we'll move on even further as time passes."

And from Kikizo games after meeting him:

"Officially Sega will not talk about a real Shenmue successor under any circumstances. Some stuff we've agreed with Sega can't be published, although there was nothing of massive significance to provide an absolute answer that some fans want - and we're not just being tantalising for the sake of it here, the point is that Sega really, really doesn't like talking about Shenmue at all.
But based on everything we know to be true at this moment in time - and aside from detail that has since changed - all of it was accurate. Which as we stressed heavily at the time, doesn't necessarily mean Shenmue 3 will come out, but it would be very foolish to write it off. Despite some presumptions made based on (at best) questionable translation of an interview in November, Yu Suzuki has NEVER said there would be no Shenmue 3. And as he puts it to us: "the story will be finished through games"."

From here.

At least it's not being totally written off.

You used to be able to play CD's full of hundreds of Sega Magadrive games as well.

Or so I've heard.
I heard SNES games as well.

I'm actually surprised no one else has thought about putting a screen on the control pad since the Dreamcast, was great on VT seeing the score or on VS when you scored a goal

Shenmue 2 for Dreamcast was better. Was in Japanese with English subtitles. Sounded more authentic. Even though Shenmue was english dubs.
