tip jars just defeat the point of tipping, if I want to reward someone for good service, I don't want to reward all their colleagues too. Takes away any incentive to work hard when you have to split the proceeds with others who may work a lot less harder.

I tipped my hairdresser £4 the other day but that was only because she was pushing her fanny into me.

| We just moved, and we tipped the driver $200 and his mate $150. I guess I shouldn't have bothered |

| You can get more than that for £4 if you go to a proper prostitute.

My hairdresser gets a decent tip, but that's because she always does a good job and flirts a lot.
Restaurants, always at least 10%.
Bars, I'll always tip for cocktails, and it's a real hate of mine when people don't tip for making cocktails. Fair enough, pouring a pint is easy enough, but making cocktails is time consuming and takes a modicum of skill. Usually I'll tip 20p-50p here and there to ordinary bar staff - it's not much, but if everyone who went to a bar/club tipped just 50p, then the staff would be rolling in it at the end of the night.

bog trolls-:thdn: not tipping as such more extortion as the bouncers will happily kick your head in on their behalf if you dont pay £1 to be sprayed with cat ****
