Footballers are workers too Blatter you twonk, they are paid reguarly for the work they do. They arent artists they dont sell their performances to the club after the match for the highest fee they can (sounds like an idea though )

am i right in thinking that should someone in a profession besides football up a new contract with someone else, their new employer doesnt have to pay any compensation to the old employer?
and am i right in thinking that anyone in a profession besides football can terminate their own contracts, provided they give sufficient notice, and are not bound by any 'you cannot quit within x months of starting working for us'?
if i am, then football is already breaching some employment laws. also, as it is a sport, it is possible to make new rules for the sport, or for a competition - take the olympics for example; only amateurs were allowed to enter - thats a competition specific rule that determines who may or may not take part. would it not be possible to do a similar thing for each competition within football?
eu laws on employment only apply to eu nationals dont they? so it would be perfectly legal to make a rule about how many eu nationals can play at any given time? not quite so effective, but it is a start at least.
