Are you allowed to drink (alcoholic) during a working day?
I've just come back from a couple of lunchtime drinks with my boss (he bought!) and it's become soft of a weekly thing to have a pint or two at lunchtime.
Is this a North\South thing or does it depend on who you work for? As when i was working back up North, if you had a beer at lunchtime and someone found out you could be warned or sacked. Now i'm working in London you often find your boss or Director coming up and asking if you fancy coming to the pub at lunchtime for a cheeky one.
So can you have a beer at lunch without fear HR getting involved?

I'm a lifeguard and I'm not sure if you're technically allowed where I work, but I know people who have had one drink, and people often come in after drinking quite a lot the night before and are probably over the driving limit, don't think there's a lifeguarding limit though.
