every job Ive ever had in england its been socially acceptable to have a pint or 2 in your lunch hour, but in america some people I worked with almost got fired over it

Dunno what the outlook on it would be where I work. Been there 7 years now and can honestly say I have never really considered it.
Certainly being drunk at work would be a massive no-no, but I've been there long enough now that I think if I went to the pub at lunch for a couple, nobody would care. Especially on a weekend when there's nobody there who is my boss. Weekends I do a grand amount of sod all anyway.
