Engine size and that would depend on how much you have to budget for insurance

I got a 1.4 Clio, the insurance was loads

1.2, 1.4 for first car probably as insurance will kill you for the first year. I'm driving a 1.9 for mine and Insurance is £1300 fully comp.

I seen a polo i like for about 900, a 1.2. I was thinking a black clio/saxo/polo/golf. Where should i look? Ebay might be a problem as i want to learn in this car so i cant drive it up to my house as im getting it before im 17, all ready for my birthday.

Basically you want anything with a low insurance group and low running costs to start.

Usual suspects like Corsa, Clio and Fiesta are a good place to start. All are cheap to buy/run and with so many of them around parts are cheap.

Keep an eye on insurance group of whatever car you look at, lower the better.

1.4 was my first car and insurance was about £1100 at the time. Not sure if that is good or bad though.

You want help, stop typing 'u' instead of 'you'

Depends if you want to pay a fortune in insurance really. If you dont care about the costs then go for a decent Golf, or Polo.

If you have to worry about insurance try and stay below 1.1 engine wise.
Means stuff like a Saxo, Punto, Fiesta, Corsa, Pug 106.
