Bands (especially small) who do "music stunts" are inevitably ****. I bet they do the random adding of friends on "myspace" as well don't they
Years ago I was queuing at a gig in Camden, when some band turned up on a flat bed truck, they were ****, got severly heckled and then got nicked by the police for onstructing the road. Justice.

I know what you're saying. They've been gigging for the last 18 or so months, so they've developed somewhat of a following.
I was very hesitant to use the word 'stunt' (despite using it in the title) because it just conjures up images of Jackass and generally being obnoxious.
Although I've not really witnessed the local music scene in other towns, I imagine that my town's is quite small and insular in comparison. Outside of the street press, which they've already featured in a bit, there's absolutely no mainstream coverage at all, so we're not aiming to break the town wide open, because it's never going to happen. Just do something so that even 1% of the population have heard of their name.
Oh, and for all of those songs on their MySpace, the lead guitar is slightly out of tune. It's lame, but those are the only recordings they have (for now).
