Because it irritates me no end when it's demanded that a manager should pick a player with PASSION!! :o!! over someone who is actually far superior as a footballer.

i think by passion you mean work-rate and determination. techincal ability isnt any use when the player cant be bothered to get involved when the ball isn't being given to them directly.
Though as far as technical skill or passion goes, well without putting some sort of quantative or qualative aspect on it you can't really say.
Both is best obviously.
