Went to City's game vs Middlesborough and for all the money they have spent this year.....with the exception of Elano and Hamann, Ireland is their best player. He has pace, skill, drive and a cutting edge, and looks the real deal. If he doesn't feel he is in the right frame of mind then I'm very sorry for the lad, but Irish fans will be glad when he come back!

if she had a miscarriage she was quick enough over it to be out having a rare old night in a Cork night club the following weekend.

She once turned up at the Irish squad's hotel and dumped Ireland's 2 kids from a previous relationship on him in front of the whole team saying "they're your kids, you look after them".

hair transplant tbh. One of the reasons put around was that he was suffering from unsightly reaction to the operation and fled the Ireland squad to save face.

Newspaper reports in Dublin at the weekend claimed that the reason that Ireland put his international career on hold was that he had been mocked by his Ireland colleagues over an alleged hair transplant or his wearing of a hairpiece.

This taunting, it was said, degenerated into two teammates pinning him to the floor and attempting to remove the “evidence”. It is understood that Ireland’s distress at the reports could shatter his recovery. “If this goes on, there’s now a great fear that Stephen will retire from Ireland for good,” a source said. Another source told The Times that it was “more basic ribbing but he took it really badly”. The FAI denied that any bullying took place.

Don't know what to say about this really. Bullying isn't nice but it sounds a bit bloody daft if you ask me.
