Didn't his missus tell him the wrong thing in the first place anyway last time round. Seem to remember reading she'd told him his gran had died originally but then admitted it to him about the miscarriage after he'd already informed the manager, then it snowballed from there.

thought he was behind Hamann/Johnson and all the new players in the pecking order tbf.

tbh if he was my player I wouldn't give a flying ****, he's dropped out for valid personal reasons, whether he lied doesn't change that, and he's issued a full and frank apology too, not much more you can ask tbh.
