At only 400 it'd have to go up significantly, especially since it's a target seat for Labour and the Conservatives. There'd certainly be a bit of tactical voting in order to decapitate him as well. A bit of a gamble I'd agree.

Tosh. The Lib Dems have rarely been more vital. We're in a time when Labour and Conservatives have hatched their cosy consensus and the Libs are the only ones offering a viable alternative.

The Libs are the conscience of Parliament at the minute. They're taking a battering in the polls but if we've learnt one thing in the last month it's that the polls are transient.

Notwithstanding that, it was right that Ming stand down and I'm pleased it seems to have been done about as peacefully as possible.
