probably due to the fact that we only bothered playing for 20 minutes and then just killed off the game (although i see what you're getting at with the bandwagon sentiment).

Beating Estonia 3-0 at home doesnt command quite the same level of excitment as reaching a world cup final. If the football team got the world cup final you would see the same sort of thing.

being top 8 in world football is a far higher achievement than being top 2 in rugby or cricket, but the media are just trying to sell papers and this is the dumb **** that people like to read

also if you take Rugby, how many actually good teams are there? Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, France, England, (Argentina)
Now take football:
Spain, France, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Holland, Czech, Portugal, England, Germany..
Rugby is less competitive as less countries play it.

paul you make it sound like rugby refs aren't as bad as their football counterparts. just watch the refereeing from the last 2 england games as well as the france quarter final...dreadful on all 3 occasions.
| I watch alot of League more than union, and most things in that they get spot on. But its more their attitude that impresses me. They want the game to flow and not send people off. Thus they command respect on the field of play with no player that ive seen backchatting the ref. Football tho you get the impresion they love booking and sending off players as they can show their dominance </BLOCKQUOTE>
Except for Steve Ganson who bottled sending off Gareth Hock for basically assaulting Matt Diskin in the Leeds-Wigan Final Eliminator a couple of weeks ago.
Putting stuff "On Report" such a ****ing cop-out - do yer job properly ffs

| The Sun/News of the world have gave all the England players 10 out of 10 for the games against the Aussie's and the French now.
Just because they won when not expected to at all don't mean that all players played that good.

| Yeah knew it was Flood but couldn't remember the first name and Willo stuck in my mind so took a wild stab.
