It is good to watch a rugby match, not go away talking about the game. Unlike football where more often than not its the ref who everyone is tlaking about.
Football can learn alot from the way rugby ref referee the game

in a way with cup competitions isn't there much more margin with Rugby or Cricket to determine that, rather than a game dictated by cup competition syndrome where a goal ruled offside can knock a team out?
Ie for a team to dictate its superiority it is less prone to luck in cricket or rugby against even opposition? Could be way off base just a thought.

paul you make it sound like rugby refs aren't as bad as their football counterparts. just watch the refereeing from the last 2 england games as well as the france quarter final...dreadful on all 3 occasions.

| a gust of wind arguably kept australia from beating us, and a fairly soft penalty call accounted for the 3 points which got us into the lead against france.

Saw the News of the World yesterday and for the rugby they gave every England player a score of 10.
Even the subs. Think the caption was something like:
Willo Flood: quiet, didn't do much - 10
