Inselkampf is a highly addictive free browser based game in which players build up an island, army and fleet, then go to war and expand to new islands. This is a real time strategy game with the player taking several weeks to achieve a decent level from which army, fleets and expansion are all possible.

This game comes highly recommended, however, it is text based and will not be everyones cup of tea. Yet for those who like it has a good community. This game is also perfect for playing whilst on football manager.

I'd suggest joining world 2 over world 1 but both are equally playable.

It depends what happens to you to whether it gets boring or not. I have been lucky in both worlds and am in a position to help new players.

Well I was before the days of world 2, so both times I played was in the original world. And even the first time I played, it was a long time after it started so it was just impossible to get anywhere near competitive. The top however many just manage to get ever free isle there is, and even if you get there first, they will take it and not give a sh!t.
