Incidentally none of them can be classed as Upper Class. Upper middle probably - certainly in the case of John Cleese at least.

Going to Cambridge and public schools does not make someone Upper Class.

I'm really not, I'm just interested in understanding your definition and would never have considered a judge upper class before you put it forward. Apologies if I've come across in an unintentionally argumentative and obtuse manner.

Yes, but judges don't have that combination. That's what I was trying to show. This is so petty though, I don't think it's worth either of our effort arguing about what is, essentially, semantics.

The admission bods didn't have to worry about the PC "let 'em all in if they're good enough" policy.
